Six Thursdays this fall, the doors on Main Street open at 6:30, and somewhere before 7 the room does something rooms don't do much anymore — it goes quiet on its own. You walk in the way you'd walk into any bar. Footsteps, a nod, a stool. The bar stays open behind you. Nobody shushes anybody. It just gets quiet, the way a room does when something real is happening in front of it and everyone would rather hear it than talk over it.
Close enough to catch a pick change. Close enough to catch the breath before the high note, the half-second a songwriter decides which way a line's about to go. You're not hearing the finished song. You're hearing it get finished — right there, in a room that's been standing on this street since 1929, built long before anyone needed to explain what a listening room was.
The soul of a song was never for sale — so tonight, neither is the door. Come as a neighbor. Leave with a line stuck in your head that wasn't there when you walked in.

The night
Every ORIGINS night is built like a full evening — early doors, a hosted room, songs that haven't been worn thin, and Main Street still open when you walk out.
Bar and concessions open early. Grab a drink. Find the good seat. The room fills like a living room, not a lobby line.
Joe Polizzi opens the night, names the songwriter, and keeps the house feeling like someone invited you.
This is a music exposure series — first listens, deep catalogs, and the kind of writing that needs a real room.
